Previously, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Empresa Generadora de Electricidad Haina S.A. (EGE Haina), in the Dominican Republic, from June 2013 through December 2017. Prior to that, Mr. Aicardi worked as EGE Haina's Chief Financial Officer since June 2008. Before joining EGE Haina, Mr. Aicardi held several management positions for The AES Corporation for more than 8 years. From January 2008 and June 2008, Mr. Aicardi worked as Latam Managing Director of M&A and Financing for The AES Corporation. From March 2003 through December 2007, he acted as the Chief Financial Officer of AES Dominicana, and from January 2000 through February 2003, he served as the Chief Financial Officer, HR, IT and Commercial Manager of AES San Nicolás (CTSN and AES Paraná). Before joining AES, Mr. Aicardi served as Senior Auditor at Deloitte. Over the years, Mr. Aicardi has successfully led several business restructuring processes, equity and debt capital markets transactions as well as the development and construction of numerous power projects. He holds a bachelor degree in Accounting from Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR - Argentina), and has also participated in development programs in Leadership, Strategy, Finance, Corporate Governance and Risk Management at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Yale University.
